Reading Acroyoga Community

Acroyoga (acrobatic yoga) is unique practice, which combines movement skills from partner acrobatics, yoga, and Thai massage. It is fundamentally a fun way to exercise and connect with other people! The Reading Acroyoga Community has been gathering to play since January 2017.

We meet every Saturday Evening 5 to 7 pm to Jam. Jams are open-play (open practice) times where there is no structure or instruction. The Saturday jam is free or donation. You do not need experience or a partner to show up. Come and go as you please. We often do an opening circle and group warm up so if it is your first jam please be there for the opening circle. Sometimes we fuse the acro jams with circus skills, so there is often access to circus toys and slacklines to play with.

Some people feel more comfortable to start in a led acroyoga class. King William teaches two weekly classes in Reading, so if you would like to learn the FUNdamentals or learn some new tricks to take away to practice in Jams or at home then check out the class information at http://www.KingWilliam.uk

As a community, we also arrange social events which have included day trips to other acro communities and workshops, BBQ’s, games nights, potluck dinners, movies and more! All usually end up including acroyoga somewhere along the line.

Acroyoga is wonderfully accessible for any age or skill level, so if you’ve ever dreamed of doing tricks like an acrobat, here is your chance!
