Acroyoga Taster – 17th May

Ever wanted to fly like an acrobat? In this taster session, everyone will get the opportunity to see what acroyoga is all about, get to fly, base, and play a few games.

Acroyoga is a beautiful practice that combines the dynamic wisdom of acrobatics, the awareness, breath and balance of yoga and the healing, loving nature of Thai massage. You take away many benefits not limited to strength building and exercise, there are also the mental health benefits. Acroyoga breaks down trust barriers many of us face in our everyday lives, builds communication and partner balance improves concentration.

The taster session will start at 7 pm and run for an hour and a half allowing some time at the end to either play with what you have learnt or just get to know everyone. If you would like to leave a donation for the workshop then you will be most welcome otherwise, I hope to see you along at one of our community events or at upcoming classes.

Who can come?
Anyone! Acroyoga is wonderfully accessible for any age or skill level, you do not need to be able to touch your toes, have tried yoga before or even do a backflip!  So if you have ever dreamed of doing tricks like an acrobat, or receiving a massage whilst flying come along.

What do I need to bring?
You just need to bring yourselves and a water bottle.  Make sure to wear clothes that you can move about in, no jeans! Feel free to bring a yoga mat if you would like to practice on one, there are no full-length mats at the studio.

Following this workshop on Wednesdays starting on the 24th of May King William will be running a 6-week course for beginners at APS fitness. We want to give students as much attention as possible, so in this course there are only 6 spaces total available.
